Job Description

  1. Assemble components and units according to checklists, Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawings as applicable
  2. Soldering (through hole, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and fine pitch)
  3. Mechanical Assembly (hardware and Special Test Equipment (STE)
  4. Processing (using potting, bonding, and coatings)
  5. Metal Fabrication (drilling, press and filing)
  6. Electrical testing (using manual Special Test Equipment)
  7. Build units to Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications, ensure that all special options are acknowledged and included in build
  8. Complete required in-process inspection, report defects/areas of concern, and repair defects found per instructions
  9. Complete final inspection documentation and test of equipment to insure highest quality for delivery to the end user
  10. Follow all procedures and processes provided by engineering in accordance to assembly of unit
  11. Document quality information as required to support quality process
  12. Ensure any defects found are documented and corrected prior to delivery of unit
  13. Build Quality into all products without exception
  14. Meet daily/weekly production schedule as determined by scheduler
  15. Document and complete any necessary paperwork in assigned area
  16. Report all non-conforming parts, materials or drawings to supervisor
  17. Resolve assembly problems, troubleshoot malfunctions and defects of final assembly
  18. Report other problems to supervisor to obtain assistance

Requirements

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience
  3. Knowledge of assembly hand tools
  4. Ability to read and understand blueprints and or assembly drawings
  5. Able and willing to work in other areas as needed
  6. Able to flex into any assembly area as needed to react to business demands
  7. Willing to work late when needed, this includes Saturdays when required due to business demands
  8. Continually cross-train peers in all areas of assembly
  9. Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve company’s overall profitability and quality
  10. Positive working attitude toward other employees; team player
  11. Work with others constructively and abide by company policies and procedures
  12. Proper use of all personal protective equipment (PPE)
  13. Promote safety in department and in testing
  14. Use proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed
  15. Report all unsafe conditions to supervisor
  16. Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
  17. Participates in hazardous communication training as well as all safety training
