Job Description
-
Assemble components and units according to checklists, Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawings as applicable
-
Soldering (through hole, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and fine pitch)
-
Mechanical Assembly (hardware and Special Test Equipment (STE)
-
Processing (using potting, bonding, and coatings)
-
Metal Fabrication (drilling, press and filing)
-
Electrical testing (using manual Special Test Equipment)
-
Build units to Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications, ensure that all special options are acknowledged and included in build
-
Complete required in-process inspection, report defects/areas of concern, and repair defects found per instructions
-
Complete final inspection documentation and test of equipment to insure highest quality for delivery to the end user
-
Follow all procedures and processes provided by engineering in accordance to assembly of unit
-
Document quality information as required to support quality process
-
Ensure any defects found are documented and corrected prior to delivery of unit
-
Build Quality into all products without exception
-
Meet daily/weekly production schedule as determined by scheduler
-
Document and complete any necessary paperwork in assigned area
-
Report all non-conforming parts, materials or drawings to supervisor
-
Resolve assembly problems, troubleshoot malfunctions and defects of final assembly
-
Report other problems to supervisor to obtain assistance
Requirements
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience
-
Knowledge of assembly hand tools
-
Ability to read and understand blueprints and or assembly drawings
-
Able and willing to work in other areas as needed
-
Able to flex into any assembly area as needed to react to business demands
-
Willing to work late when needed, this includes Saturdays when required due to business demands
-
Continually cross-train peers in all areas of assembly
-
Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve company’s overall profitability and quality

Positive working attitude toward other employees; team player

Work with others constructively and abide by company policies and procedures
